Lew Rumford is a leadership coach who works with senior executives from across the spectrum of businesses, professional firms and non-profit organizations. His goal as a coach is to encourage his clients’ professional and personal development as part of improving their outcomes. He helps clients recognize their strengths and adjust their approach to achieve superior results.

Professionally, Lew was a partner for more than 20 years in The JBG Companies, a large regional real estate developer and manager of commercial properties. During that period, Lew also served for a decade as president of JBG Properties with operating responsibilities for a substantial portfolio and 250 employees. After retiring in 1998, Lew redirected his work to non-profit organizations in the District of Columbia. He has served in leadership positions on a variety of boards, and was President of the Board of Casey Trees in Washington, DC. Lew also served as the Senior Advisor for Business Development for The George Washington University fromĀ 2001 to 2016. In this role he provided strategic business advice on a wide range of topics to the University.

Lew received an MBA from Harvard University, a BA from Wesleyan University, and is a graduate of the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Certificate Program. He is a Credentialed Member of the International Coaching Federation. Lew lives in Washington, DC, is married and has three children.
